RECYCL Hub: Your old textiles deserve a better ending
Most of us have a bag of clothes sitting at home that we're not quite sure what to do with. Too worn to donate, not worth selling, but throwing them in the bin just doesn't feel right either.
That's exactly where the RCYCL Hub comes in. Drop off your old garments at Greenwood Plaza and know that every item you bring through the door is going somewhere meaningful.
What can I drop off?
Please only send back 'end of life' garments that are dry and laundered. 'End of life' garments are all items that are too stained, worn or torn to be used again. No underwear or peaked caps.
What actually happens to my clothes?
Once sorted, the garments are sent to our RCYCL's trusted recycling partners. Nothing goes to waste in the RCYCL process, every item is handled responsibly, including our packaging.
Transformation of material.
Natural Fibres: Garments made from natural fibres like cotton can be respun into new yarn. This process not only reduces waste but also creates new products from the materials already in circulation.
Synthetic and Mixed Fibres: Clothing that contains synthetic fibres or a blend of synthetic materials is transformed into felt or carpet underlay. By recycling these materials, we help divert waste from landfills and promote a circular economy. Closing the loop is of the utmost importance to us here at RCYCL.
