Your Local Legends

Joe Moore is an English-born, Australian singer-songwriter from Sydney. He began his music career refining his talents on the streets of Sydney as a busker. In 2012 he competed in Channel 7’s Television show ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ which carried him through to the Grand Final. Joe continued busking his way around the world for the next three years before competing in Channel 9’s ‘The Voice’ in 2015. Once again, he was successful, making it to the Grand Final.

Joe is a North Sydney local and can’t wait until lockdown is over so he can go straight to the pub.

Here’s a little more about Joe …

Q) What do you love the most about your job?
The best part of my job is simply that it doesn’t feel like one. I am incredibly lucky to be able to do something that I love and make a living.

Q) Who is your hero?
Musically, it’s got to be Kelly Jones. Lead singer/songwriter from Welsh band ‘Stereophonics’. One of my all-time favourite bands and he has always been a huge inspiration.

Q) What do you miss most during lockdown?
The pub! And everything about the pub. Going to the pub. Being at the pub. Singing at the pub. Drinking at the pub.

Q) What song will get you on the dance floor?
The Macarena.

Q) How do you stay connected with your loved ones during lockdown?
Myself and my wife have been playing board games regularly with my parents who live up in Newcastle.

Q) What is the first thing you will do when lockdown ends?
Go to the pub.

Q) If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I do have one. I can actually fly. I just don’t do it because it makes people uncomfortable.

Q) If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Pizza

Q) What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever worn?
I once lost a bet on a family holiday and had to sing ‘I Wish I Was a Punkrocker’ while wearing a bikini.

Q) What is the weirdest thing you've eaten?
Pineapple on pizza.

Q) How can people support your business?
Give me a follow on Insta @joemooremusic … go and see live shows! Book live bands for events. You can find more info HERE

Q) Is there anything you would love to share?
My music! And I will. Just as soon as this bloody lockdown is over!
