Meet Nurse Bridie, cosmetic nurse at Results Laser Clinic and North Sydney resident. Bridie loves helping people feel more confident and can’t wait to get back into the clinic to do what she loves.

Here’s a little more about Bridie ...

Q) What do you love the most about your job and business?
As a cosmetic nurse, I love that I can help people feel more confident in their own skin, and I am able to achieve this in a creative way. There is nothing more satisfying or fulfilling than handing someone the mirror after their treatment and seeing their face light up. I can’t think of any job better than the one I’m in.

Q) How do you stay connected with your loved ones during lockdown?
My Mum receives a call almost every day, even if it’s just to update her on what lunch I’ve just eaten (bless parents).

Q) If you could invite any 3 people to dinner, who would they be?
If I had to choose only three, I’d invite Albert Einstein, Kim Kardashian, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

Q) What is the first thing you will do when lockdown ends?
I’m a bit of a girly girl and I’m a massive foodie. The one thing I’ve missed the most during lockdown is getting dressed up and going out for a nice dinner. Hubert is first on my list.

Q) What TV shows, movies, podcasts, or books have you watched/listened to/read during lockdown?
I went back to my childhood and did a rerun of the Harry Potter series.

Q) Which song gets you on the dance floor?
It’s been so long I’ve forgotten what a dancefloor even looks like! Anything 2000's hip hop will usually do the job.

Q) A celebrity would you love to meet? OR If you could sit next to anyone on a plane, who would you choose?
I’d love to meet Julie Horne who is the queen of injecting lips. She’s my business mentor idol and I’d love to have a day with her to soak in her knowledge.

Q) If you had a superpower, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to teleport to any country at any time.

Q) What is the go-to thing you order for the table?
Good quality bread and butter. Can’t beat it.

Q) What does your ideal fake sick day look like?
Fun fact about me: I’ve never faked a sick day in my life, working in nursing there are too many people relying on you to show up when they need you. I’d feel way too guilty for doing this and letting my team/clients down.

Q) If you weren’t doing this job, what would your dream job be?
Prior to studying nursing, I began my degree in Medical Science/ Medical Radiation Physics. If I wasn’t working as a Registered Cosmetic Nurse I’d love to work as a Medical Doctor specialising in Radiology - I find it so interesting.

Q) What is the weirdest thing you've eaten?
A sea urchin …they’re bizarre to look at, let alone put in your mouth.

Q) What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever worn? Do you have a pic?
That would be an ABBA costume in year 6 at school. I believe there are photos somewhere, but I’ll choose to keep them buried.

Q) Is there something about your store / product that may be a surprise?
There is so much more we offer than just laser hair removal, skin treatments and standard cosmetic injections. We offer PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy which can help treat a wide range of skin concerns and we are the only clinic alike offering this treatment.

Q) Where is your favourite spot in North Sydney?
The first time I saw Lavender Bay I was mesmerised. There’s no better spot in Sydney for a picnic on a sunny spring afternoon.
